St Patrick’s Day Parade

This year the city of boston decided to shorten the parade route on account of all the snow from the 3 storms we just had.

A lot of folks were upset. They would have dealt with the snow. The parade matters for a lot of reasons.

In a virtual world, all those people could log into a parade that has no snow. And it would never get cancelled due to rain. Or heat. And no finding parking. And no finding a bathroom every 25 min because you started drinking when you woke up. And the old, young, hospitalized, stuck at work but on break people can participate.

While we’re at it let’s have the parade go through virtual boston to the waterfront and then over a rainbow bridge to ireland, where we celebrate and sing and toast with actual dubliners and other st patricks day pilgrims from around the world.

Just have to learn how to drink beer wearing vr goggles. They used to sell helmets with beer containers and straws to drink out of, for people at sporting events. Maybe someone will put out vr goggles with a similar design.
